Discovery West Adventures is a small family business run by dynamic duo Josh & Chelsea. We value the importance of creating unforgettable memories and really getting to know our guests on a personal level.
As an owner-operated business, we take pride in being able to offer the highest quality experience. We are personally invested in our guests, which means that when you come out with us, you can expect a highly qualified and knowledgeable captain, and a personalized level of care and commitment that is unmatched by larger companies.
Your booking experience will often begin with Chelsea, she is eager to help answer any questions and provide you with all the information you need in order to make your tour a success.
Josh will be your captain, skipper, naturalist, and servant throughout the entirety of your trip. He is an expert in marine life and loves to share his knowledge of the history and unique features of our area with guests.

Our mission is to provide our customers with a safe and enjoyable experience. The kind of experience that you can’t wait to get home and tell all of your friends about! We think the small details are what matters, and will always go the extra mile to make sure our customers are happy!
We hold our customers safety in the highest regard, which is why we make sure our vessel complies with Transport Canada regulations, and is frequently inspected and meticulously maintained.
For the safety of our guests and the marine life, we practice responsible and ethical whale watching. We care so much about the welfare of our wildlife, and pride ourselves on being stewards of the sea. We follow a strict set of whale watching guidelines that go above and beyond those put in place by Transport Canada.
